In this paper, we propose a model for dynamic magne-tostricitve hysteresis in a thin rod actuator. We derive two equations that represent magnetci and mechanical dynamic equilibrium. Our model results from an applicatio ofjthe emergy balance principle. it is a dynamic model as it accounts for inertial effects and mechanical dissipatio as the actuator deforms, and also eddycurrent losses in the ferromagnetic material. We also show rigorously that the model admits a periodic solution that is asymptotically stable when a perriodic forcing function is applied.
