摘要

In this paper we presetn an entirely linear model to accurately predict the phase and intensity distortion induced by the nonlinear effect of cross-phase modulation in dispresion compensated optical systems. Finally, we introduce a new model of the joint effect of cross-phase modulation and group-velocity dispersion in compensatedsystems, leading to a linear filter that, applied to the input intensities of the co-propagating channels, gives a very good approximation of the signal envelope at the end of the system.
