Among the various analytical techniques available for immunotoxins, size-exclusion HPLC and SDS-PAGE in slab gel format are the most common methods. Although these techniques are successful for the routine separation and characterization of bioconjugates, size-exclusion HPLC has a low-resolution ability and the SDS-PAGE is a slow and labor-intensive process. In an effort to overcome some of these problems, CE technique was investigated.
