Shielding Characteristics and Current Limiting Behaviors of Bi Bulk Superconducting Rings for Inductive Fault Current Limiters

摘要

The relation between magnetic field shielding characteristics of Bi(2212) and Bi(2223) rings and the current limiting behaviors of limiters with rings were studied. The Bi(2212) limiter shows two-step fault current limitation, but the Bi(2223) limiter shows single-step limitation. This difference corresponds to the difference of field penetration properties of the rings.
