The Cryogenic Control Network at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe

In the course of the cryoplant modernization, a control network has been set up in order to facilitate the control, the supervision, the centralized data aquisition and the alarm handling of the steadily increasing cryoplant. The network is interlinking the two refrigerators, the peripheric systems and the experiments connected via transferlines. The control philosophy, the structure of the network, the components for control and alarm handling as well as the future plans are presented.
