The effects of applying ergonomics in the design of a product and a manufacturing process

摘要

This paper describes the results of incorporating ergonomics into the product and workstation design to reduce ergonomics risk factors in the assembly process and improve operator efficiency. The method included defining the design goals, determining an approach, developing solutions and validating the final system design. This resulted in lower ergonomics risks at the onset of production.
