摘要

Column joints around the cross arm of large truss transmission steel towers generally reinforced by ring-stiffeners. This paper presents Static strength and fatigue strength of this joints. Regarding static strength of column joints reinforced by the ring-stiffeners, these static strength was found by experiments and parametric studies by FEM. Then design specification was proposed corresponding to kinds of loading states of joint taking material properties of the ring-stiffener into consideration. Regarding fatigue strength of welded portion between the ring-stiffeners, or the gusset plate, and the column, these fatigue curve was found experimentally, then obtained fatigue strength was normalized against the static strength.
