Ice cover which complicates transport operations for ships or makes them impossible is observed on the water areas of fields in the northern Sakhalin for 6 or 7 months. So the decision on choosing the schemes of crude transport from offshore platforms as well as the schemes of providing the necessary safety level for works on offshore in ice period will be defined by just ice cover.
