摘要

A generalized methodology for the development of a reflectionless PML wide-angle absorber in FDTD electromagnetic scattering analysis, is presented in this paper. The new PML, which is completely based on a Maxwellian formulation, incorporates a nondiagonal symmetric comples tensor anisotropy, and through a proper selection of its parameters achieves significant absorption rates in the case of grazing incidence angles. Conscquently, the proposed medium can be imposed much closer to electrically large structures. Numerical results regarding various 3-D FDTD simulations verify the applicability of the nondiagonally anisotropic PML as well as demonstrate its accuracy and stability.
