"By the turn of the century,ground-and satellite-based networks linking computers to the Internet will be everywhere, radically transforming the way we conduct business.Networks may even extend to household apliances-- perhaps even to clothes in the closet--recasting them as digital butlers." It is the opinion of hte authors of this paper that the public sector must begin integrating existing systems with these new opportunities. The question, though,is how to use "bells and whistles" with an audience made up of different levels of experience on computers.Information should be presented using state-of-the-art technologies, but still be accessible to all audiences.Education is one sector that can benefit from using the latest technology -- for the experienced and novice user; for both instructors and students.
