Integrated performance assessment for geological repositories

In countries investigating the possibility of deep geological disposal of radioactive waste,development is planned to proceed iteratively in several stages,with the decision to proceed from one stage to the next (e.g.confirmation of feasibility,concept assessment,the decision to grant a license for construction,the decision to grant a license for construction,operation or closure) generally supported by an integrated performance assessment.
