摘要

This paper describes a numerical and experimental study which reveals the transient thermal response of woven roving glass-fibre reinforced phenolic laminate exposed to fire. The behaviour characteristics which are usually associated with organic material exposed to fire, such as decomposition, expansion and, in particular, the delamination of phenolic laminate, are included in the numerical model. The influence of the variable thermal properties and the rate of mass loss on the heat transfer rate are also investigated.
