An analytical expression for the spectrum of compressible turbulence in the low mach number in the low mach number limit

In a recent paper [1] a statistical closure for weakly compressible isotropic turbulence was proposed. The model is a one-time two-point closure sharing strong similarities with the previously derived extension to compressible turbulence of theE.D.Q.N.M. model [2]. Both models were obtained from a D.I.A. formulation. They differ in the assumptions introduced to express the two-time correlations in terms of one-time correlations. The improved model was found to compare satisfactorily with Direct and Large Eddy Simulations ([3] and [4]).
