The luminous intensity of dark variant (S_1) separeated from photobacterium phosphoreum (A_2) is 1/10000 less than that of wild0type.Any mutation of lux gene and a change in regulation will influence the luminous level of dark variant,even lead to creatin of stable revertants.Ethidium Bromide (EB)(0.6 #um# g/ml).Mitomicin C(MC) (0.05 #um# g/ml),2-amion fluorene (2AF)(1.0 #um# g/ml) can all strongly induce revertants have stqble genetic character.The mltation may take place at gene level or in DNA translation proces.We have studied the mutagenesis of pollutants in environment by using S_1 and ocmpared with Ames Test.Th4e positive rate is didentical with Ames Test.
