摘要

The lignin plymer degradation process is initiated by the formation of radicals on consititutive monomers by various oxidizing systems. Whereas the degradation of lignin model compounds by ligninolytic enzymes has been extensively studied, almost no information on the structural alterations undergone in vitro or in stiu by macromolecular lignin after catalysis is available. We report here on the molecular structure of lignin oxidized by various (per)oxidasic systems. The oxidizability of phenoolic and non-phenolic structures of the guaiacyl and syringyl type in the lighnin network will be discussed as well as the modification of the macromolecular propertis of the polymer oxidized in situ or in isolated state.
