摘要

Based on the numerical simulation of a semi-finished gear forging processes by rigid plastic finite element method, the flow patterns on conditions of different friction and ratios of height to radius are analyzed in detailed in this paper. The surface defect prediction method is proposed and defects such as laps and unfilled products are successfully predicted. Finally the critical range of semi-finished gear forging process is given.
