The electronic storage of medical image has advantages of saving the space, securing the image quality and simplifying the search, compared to the storage in file. Image compression makes it possible to cut the cost of the storage system and transmit quickly an image to a remote place. JPEG is a popular compressionmethod. However, this method can only approximately restore the original image, since it is non-reversible. In this study, we propose a new method to handle an endoscopic image as an example of desirable medical image.
