Crystal Structure Solution from Powder Diffraction Data by the Monte Carlo Method

An overview is given of the recently developed Monte Carlo technique for crystal structure solution from powder diffraction data. The fundamental principles underlying the technique are described, and selected case studies highlighting different aspects of the application of the technique are presented.
