THhis paper reported the maleated oils used as leather fatliquor, which synthesized by the reaction of 'ene' and compolymerization of maleic anhydride with animal fat and vegetable oils in the presence of catalyst. The manufacture process and characteristic properties of maleated oils were also studied in detail.
