APPLICATIONS of VERMICULITE and VERMICULITE-BASED MATERIALS in METALLURGY

摘要

Vermiculite is a natural mineral of hydromica group. In its ingenuous state it contains 8 - 20percent of crystallized water which can be dislodged upon heating at temperatures up to 300-500deg C that entails expansion of mineral particles as much as 9-16 times the original particles size in the direction perpendicular to mica layers.
