High speed, high productive machining of automobile parts by machining center with high speed high acceleration rate

摘要

High Productive and reconfigurable machining system is requested from automobile industry. To meet this requests, the feasibility study is carried out in this paper by the machining center with high speed and high acceleration rate. High speedface-milling, end-milling and drilling tests for cast iron and aluminum alloy were conducted. Test results showed that high speed machining of these materials are feasible but at the same time new tool development is required for some machiningapplications.
