In-flow and out-flow screents - so called dual-flwo screens-are put to use more frequently within water intkes used for providing condenser cooling-water in thermal power plants.The screens cna be designed as travelling band-screents as well as drum-screens.in common,unsuited skewed flow patterns are generated by these screens due to their typical geometries.Vontol and rectification fo flow is inevitable for an economical and reliable operation of the colling -water pump located downstream.Characteristic flow phenomena and means for economic flow rectification for different types investigated and developed by hydraulic models are reported.
