The Development of MPEG2-based Video encoder

摘要

Due to the development of theory of Information and DSP technology, Many video sequence compression standands have been proposed in recent years, which are mostly based on DCT and MC. Here we introduce a hardware scheme of MPEG-2 based video encoder, which depends on RSIC and FPGA technology. The encoder can transmit video signal nearly transparently when operating on 6-8Mbps target bitrate. It can be used for digital video distribution.
