This paper investigates the appciation of hot-film technique in viscous bubbly flows of air and transformer-lil,both theoretically and experimentally.A practical method is used to calibrate the probe to be used in oil.A new method is proposed for better phase discrimintion.Velocity fields are measured under six flow conditions of the viscous bubbly flow of air and transofmer-oil.the results are analyzed and discussed,which showed that the hot-0film velocity measuring techniuqe is applicable for the experimental study of the viscous bubbly flow,and there are still some limitations for its practical use.
