This paper presents an experimental study of gas soild two-phase flow cheracteristics at the furnace exit of a cold model of a tangentially fireed boiler using a three-dimensional Particle Dynamics Analyzer (3D-PDA),the principles of which are mainly baed on the Phase-Doppler Anemometer.The velocity profiles of gas phase and solid phase at the furnace exit are simulated with the mean velocity of the chasing particles which are divided into several groups by their diametes.The characteristics of the flow field at the furnace exit under 3 different sorts of behavior are given in detail.The results shows: the deviation of velocity profile between left and right at the area of furnace exit will be aggravated by the heat-exchange screens,but can be attenuated by the vertical homogeneous pore plate mounted in the gas flue channel.
