Glass fiber and sheets were treated by the low temperature argon plasma process in order to improve the surface properties for glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP). Especially some surface properties, for example, roughness and wetting behaviors, of glass fiber and sheet were studied before and after plasma treatment. Interfacial strength between the plasma treated fiber and plastic was measured. The effect of plasma treatment on surface of glass fiber and sheet was mainly evaluated and discussed.
