Life extension is one of the most important problems in nuclear power plant (NPP) life time management. The paper describes one such management decision problem for NPP instruments (meters, sensors, transmitters, actuators, computers, etc) and instrumentation and control systems. This decision was based on reliability operating data and was used for a Ukrainian NPP.
