The aim of this study is to get the fundamental data for the optical resolution by high pressure crystallization. The separation of racemates into their optical isomers on homopipecolic acid benzyl ester (HABE0 by high pressure crystallization was investigated. HABE is the precursor of the drug for kidney disease. The solubility curves of HABE in ethanol as a function of R-siomer fraction was measured at given temperature (30 deg) and under various pressure (0.1 approx 300 MPa) at 30 deg. It was found that the solubility diagram showed two eutectic points, and that the interval of two eutectic points became narrow from 60 to 48
