The tribological properties of the b-containing derivative of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole as additive in liquid paraffin

摘要

In this paper, an organic compound containing S, N, B and 0 elements is synthesized with the reaction of 2mercaptobenzothiaxole, chloroethanol, and borate in tetrahydrofurran at reflex for 5h. Their friction and wear properties as additive in liquid paraffin were evaluated using four-ball machine, and their friction reduction and antiwear mechanisms were investigated using XPS analysis.
