Binaural technology: A technology with a view

The advent of microcomputers and, consequently, the availability of the necessary computational power for real-time processing of audio signals have initiated and fostered the development of a new technology, Binaural Technology, "a body ofmethods that involve the acoustic input signals to both ears of the listener for achieving practical purposes, e.g., by recording, analyzing, synthesizing, processing, presenting and evaluating such signals".
