Ozonation (with BAF) - A Process for Advanced Treatment of Waste water for Amenity Use in the River

Most of the rivers flowing through Kawasaki City lack their own water sources, and the decreased quantity of wastewater with spreading sewerage has become a problem. Under these circumstances, the same City has planned to use 270,000 m~3/d of wastewater treated by an advanced treatment process as a new water source for 11 rivers in this City. The new scheme is based on an ozonation process (O_3 process) combined with a biological aerated filter process (BAF process).
