摘要

The use of additives, sewage sludge and kaolin, to reduce the release of alkali metals from a German brown coal was studied under combustion and gasification conditions. The sewage sludge was found to greatly reduce the alkali release, especially at higher temperatures. No positive effects were observed from the kaolin addition.
