Results of the computer simulation which have been performed in the scope of the SOLGAS feasibility study, are presented in this paper as an example to demonstrate the capabilities of the modular transient simulation code TRNSYS applied to the operational analysis of a solar thermal power plant. SOLGAS is a hybrid combined cycle cogeneration plant and therefore it presents a very complex configuration which is difficult to adapt to other tools like the SOLERGY code, often utilized in the past in order to predict the annual energy production of a solar thermal power plant.
