LA-ICP-MS (Laser Ablation Inductively CoupledPlasma Mass Spectrometry) is a powerful tool for glazeelemental characterization because it is capable of highresolution and sensitivity. Comparisons are made between thismethod, FNAA (Fast Neutron Analyse Activation) and SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy). Then, LA-ICP-MS is appliedto archaeological ceramic glazes.
