A method for simulation of Gaussian pulse propagation in an elastic medium with periodical inhomogeneity

In the present work it was treated, exhaustively, a mathematical method, useful incomputer simulation of pulse propagation in an elastic medium with periodical inhomogeneities. It was considered the general case and, in the end it was took into the conssideration the particular case of an elastic semifinite rod that has a periodical variation depending on distance of Young modulus.
