Prepared Discussion of: Four Decades of macroreticular (Macroporous) Ion Exchange Resins

This paper is dedicated to the use of macroporous-type ion exchange resins. The authors begin their discussion with a brief historical overview of these particular ion exchange products along with some interesting insight about the pore structure of their polymer matrix. The appearance and structure of macroporous resins is contrasted to that of geltype polymer resins and the authors augment their discussion with photographs to better illustrate the physical characteristic differences of these ion exchange types.
