The results from first investigations to sue multi-axial warp knitted layer fabris (non crimp fabrics) as reinforcement for concrete and mortar applciations will be discussed. Reinforced concrete specimen have been prepared and tesed with dimensions will be discussed. Reimforced concrete speciment have been prepared and tested with dimensions of 300 mm x 60 mm x 11,5 mm. The optimum type of textile structure will be evaluated by comparison f the flexural strength of the test specimen. Using this knowledge first demonstration components have been manufactured. These were gireers, like window lintels, geometrically measuring 700 mm x 140 mm x140 mm as a hollow profile, which have been tested in 4-point bending tests. Derived from the results of the wexperiments it will be presented how multi-axial layer fabrics can be used to build earthquaske resistant structures with textile reinforced concrete.
