A new technique of separation and analysis of the valence state of trace gold based on the adsorption of polyfoam has been developed. The separation stabilities (c.v.%) of Au~(3+), Au~+ and Au° are ± 39.9 (0.07 ng·g~(-1)), ± 30.4 (0.23 ng·g~(-1)) and ± 29.5 (1.0 ng·g~(-1)) respectively. A device of arrester for the site valence separater has been developed. This paper has confirmed the existence of diverse valence states of gold in soil by a lot of experimental data. Research has discovered that the gold valence distribution changes regularly with the climatic conditions of the areas where samples were collected. The ionization degree of gold is also related to the geochemical environment controlled by weather conditions. Experiments show that the gold valence spatial distribution is not in balance. Activity of gold is caused by water in the media. In the process of motion the water continuously receives the constituents of its surrounding rocks, soil and organic matter; then its pH value changes. So it has stronger ability, and the speed of gold solution increases rapidly (Table 1).
