JURASSIC PETROLEUM SYSTEM IN NORTHWEST CHINA

摘要

The petroleum system is an assemblage of hydrocarbon accumulations (including petroleum seepages and oil shows) that have intrinsic relation with hydrocarbon source rocks, reservoirs and cap rocks. Jurassic basins in Northwest China are rich in hydrocarbon resources. On the basis of the hydrocarbon source rock and reservoir-seal rock association in the Jurassic of Northwest China, there are five hydrocarbon accumulation patterns. Because of faulting, unconformities and different depositional environments, the Jurassic in Northwest China can be classified into six composite petroleum systems.
