The Jiujiang-Ruichang Cu-Au ore district is an important part of (Fe, Cu, Au) metallogenetic belt along the Middle and Lower Yangtze. There are various types of ore deposits and various commodities (Table 1). The Jiu-Rui Cu-Au ore district is located in platformal fold belt of the Lower Yangtze within the Circum-Pacific " resonant tectonic belt" of mineralization. Its foundation has undergone the development stages from eugeosyncline to miogeosyncline during Early-Middle-Proterozoic Era. Then the geosyncline put back in Jinning Movement period and got into the paraplatform stage. In Caledonian and Hercynian Movement period, it showed oscillating movement in this area. The clasolit-carbonate formation predominantly shallqw-water to sublittoral facies was formed that came into being the metallogenetic basement of ore deposits in this area. Owing to the activities of Pacific tectonic belt in Yanshang period, platformal fold belt of the Lower Yangtze which had been solifide was translated into remobilized area and resulted in a serious of chain-like meso-minor intrusions. This area has been subjected to magmatic hydrothermal telescoping of Yanshan period. The evolution history of such " twice process of metallogenetic cycle" provided favourable conditions for (Cu, Au) deposits, particularly for (Cu, Au) stratabound ores in Jiu-Rui area. All ore-bearing rock formation from Ordovician to Triassic system may be classified into: (1) clastic rocks formation (S-D), (2) dolostone formation with kappa pyrite (C2h) and, (3) limestone formation (P-T). As the chemical activity of them showed striking difference, a number of different types of ore deposit were formed.
