The durability of titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) bonded with thin film poly ether ketone ether ketone ketone (PEKEKK) thermoplastic polymer was investigated. Grit blasted titanium adherends modified with Sodium Hydroxide Anodization (SHA) produced durable PEKEKK-Ti tensile joints for up to 6 months of immersion soaking in Ringr's solution at 38 deg C. Two voltages (10 and 15 Volts) and times (15 and 30 minutes) were used to create different surface morphologies.
