Assessment of pipeline corrosion adjecnt to girth welds

摘要

This paper describes a study of the behaviour of corrosion adjacent to pipeline girth welds using burst experiments and finite element analysis.It is found that unless there are high longitudinal stresses corrosion adjacent to girth elds can be treated as corrosion in plain pipe.
