摘要

The new low carbon-equivalent TMCP type HT50 steel plate for ship or welded structures has been developed several years ago in Japan. We conducted on some kind of experiments for this steel and for its welded joints regarding fatigue strength and fatigue crack propagation in air and in sea water. From these experimental data and some discussion, we confirmed the integrity of this steel in fatigue by comparing the fatigue strength and the fatigue crack propagation characteristic of this steel with those of HT50 steel which has been used practically in ship or welded structures.
