Vibration isolation with high efficiency is very important for industry. Vibration isolation of low frequency is also a well-known problem. Systems with quasi-zero stiffness are very perspective in this field. There are many problem connected with these systems, for example: complexity, nonlinearity, instability. But the authors have invented vibration isolator with quasi-zero stiffness that has advantages: compactness, reliability, versatility. The invented vibration isolator is of a passive type. It is made of a single elastic element with a special form. The vibration isolator has high vibration isolation properties and can also protect against low-frequency vibration. A detailed analytical analysis has been made. A computer modeling and an experimental study are also completed. Special experimental measuring equipment has been created for studying this vibration isolator. The experimental equipment can measure vibration level and dynamic force, which occur in different point of experimental installation. It allows getting vibration and forcing reaction spectrum in real time. The natural frequency of the developed vibration isolator with quasi-zero stiffness is less than 1 Hz. During the experiments were determined: force characteristic of the vibration isolator, operating load, stiffness of the vibration isolator at operating load, the natural frequency at operating load, the efficiency of the use of quasi-zero stiffness effect.
