This paper was carried out thanks to some experimental results gathered in some new modern theatres in Sicily. An important aim is to identify the architectural forms and intervention best adapted to increase the indoor acoustic quality. A systematic modeling of building shapes and with different materials has contributed to improve the acoustic indoor quality. A final analysis was carried out in order to compare acoustics climate in historical and modern theatres.
