Audible noise characteristics of UHV substations are paramount for the noise prediction and reduction. In this paper, the noise level and spectrum distribution of the transformers, high-voltage reactors and electrified structure, and the noise level at the boundary of the 1000kV AC substation are measured and analyzed in detail. The results also show that the sound pressure level of the transformers and high-voltage reactors was 65.7 ~74.5 dB(A) and 69.7 ~79.1 dB(A), respectively. The maximum value of the electrified structure is 61.6 dB(A) and the noise at the boundary of the substation is closely related to the layout of the main acoustic sources.
