摘要

Overcoming geometrical constraints for wave energy transmission has been revealed to be possible using metamaterials. Extraordinary optical transmission (EOT) and extraordinary acoustic transmission (EAT) have both been demonstrated. Despite theses advances for focusing energy in sub-wavelength spot, this mechanism has never been explored for sub-wavelength imaging applications. Here, we are proposing a subwavelength acoustic microscope based on the EAT phenomena through a zero-mass metamaterial for airborne sound.
