The anti-vibration slab mat has been installed on the Zhengzhou metro. To verify its vibration isolation performance, experiments were carried out on site under different loading conditions. These include the hammer experiment without traffic loading, and track vibration measurement under normal traffic loading conditions. It was found that the isolation frequency of the slab mat is between 10Hz and 15Hz on the track under the traffic. Compared with the track system without the slab mat in the frequency range between 20Hz and 400Hz, the average vibration insertion loss on the tunnel wall in the vertical direction with slab mat track was 16.3dB under impact experiment and 15.7dB under normal traffic loading conditions. The results showed that, both tests with the hammer experiment and under traffic loading conditions demonstrate a similar level of vibration insertion loss with the slab mat compared with the track without the slab mat, so that the performance of vibration isolation can be easily estimated by a hammer excitation without traffic loading.
