Based on the semi-classical density matrix equations, optimized operation of optically pumped NH$-3$/ MIR laser emission at 12.08 $mu@m and 12.81 $mu@m was studied theoretically and experimentally. The effect of pump power, gas pressure and buffer gas N$-2$/ on MIR output power were discussed in detail.
