Fast iterative methods in Boundary-domain integral mehtod using velocity vorticity formulation

Fast solution procedures in Boundary-domain integral mehtod (BDIM) for navier-Stokes equations are presented. Several possibilities of solving large unsymmetric systems of equations, which arise in BDIM, are discussed. A special attention is given to Krylov subspace methods and Multigrid method. Several ways of improving their performance are discussed, from preconditioning techniques to efficient error smoothers. Effectiveness of the iterative approaches is presented on some computed test examples.
